The Sunderland striker is in high-demand this window and could be on the move before the 11pm deadline on Monday, February 1 – provided the Black Cats can bring in a striker of their own.
Lee Johnson is hopeful of at least one more addition in the forward areas before the winter window closes and any arrival could pave the way for Grigg to exit on a temporary basis with a number of potential suitors waiting in the wins

And now Football Insider claim that Fleetwood Town are also monitoring the situation as they eye a late swoop.
The Cod Army allowed Ched Evans to leave on loan this month and are short of options in the attacking areas.
But it remains unclear whether the Wearsiders would sanction a move to Fleetwood, or Oxford for that matter.

Hide AdSunderland were unwilling to allow Grigg to join a promotion rival last season, and their stance is unlikely to have changed now.
Speaking about Grigg this week, Lee Johnson said: "I’ve had detailed conversations with Will and I’m more than happy to have Will Grigg here competing at this football club as one of our four strikers.
"Obviously he’s got his own opinion on that and it’s certainly not negative towards Sunderland but he wants to find that buzz and that spark and score goals again and he may well think there is a better place to do it than here given the competition he’s got.
"I won't Will out until we get one in, it's as simple as that.

"Remember that this isn't Will gone for good, he is under contract for next season.
"So if it helps Shrewsbury, us and it helps Will, then I've got no problem with that at all.
"At the same time, my priority is Sunderland and getting enough wins between now and the end of the season to be successful."
