WATCH: New Sunderland manager David Moyes takes to the pitch at Rotherham to thank fans
Moyes was named Sam Allardyce's successor on Saturday morning ahead of the club's final domestic friendly away at Rotherham United, a game they won 2-1 thanks to goals from Fabio Borini and Charles N'Zogbia.
The former Manchester United and Everton boss watched the game from the director's box where he was serenaded by the 3,000-strong away support throughout.
They chanted 'Moyesy, Moyesy on the pitch' and to their delight he appeared after the final whistle after making his way down from the back of the stand.
