Woman taken to hospital after rush-hour crash between Seaham and Ryhope

Police and ambulance services attended the Coast Road at around 8.30am on Thursday, November 28.

The road was blocked and motorists were diverted away during the clean-up operation.

A Durham Constabulary spokeswoman said: “A woman has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision on the Coast Road between Seaham and Ryope.

“A second woman who was also involved in the collision was not injured.”
