Rotary Club of Washington appeal for unwanted clothes to help charities through covid pandemic
The Rotary Club of Washington is appealing for clothing donations which can be used to raise funds for local charities and causes who are struggling to fundraise while coronavirus restrictions remain in place
Members are collecting clothes which can then be repurposed, using the money to support essential community projects and charities.

Hide AdKimberley Cheetham, member of The Rotary Club of Washington, believes residents should support community causes in any way possible during the pandemic.
She said: “It’s vital to support local charitable organisations right now with everything that’s going on. Charities and causes can’t fundraise as they normally would so anything we can do to support them is important.
“The response from the community has been huge so far, everyone has really got behind the idea of helping each other out and supporting others in the community. Every little helps and every donation of clothes we receive makes a big difference.”
While the rotary club cannot currently donate the clothes in order to raise funds due to the national lockdown, they are collecting as much as possible to donate when it is safe to do so.
