Drivers warned A1231 to close for tree felling

One of Sunderland's busiest routes will close tomorrow to allow tree felling to take place.

The eastbound carriageway of the A1231 Wessington Way will close between the A19 and Baron's Quay Road turn offs tomorrow (Sunday January 17).

The road will close from 8.30am and is estimated to remain shut until about 4pm.
