Public warned not to approach escaped Scottish prisoner with connections to North East

Northumbria Police have shared an appeal from Police Scotland who are searching for prisoner Michael Anthony Broomfield, an inmate at HMP Castle Huntly, Dundee.
The 34-year-old prisoner was reported missing at 8pm on Monday, February 22 and is believed to have connections in Durham, as well as Spennymoor and Newcastle.

Hide AdHe is described as 6ft 1in, medium build, with medium length dark brown hair and a beard.
He was last seen wearing a black and grey bobble hat, black and grey hooded top and blue jogging bottoms.
Police Scotland is appealing for information regarding Broomfield’s whereabouts, but have urged the public not to approach him.
