The following cases have been dealt with recently in Sunderland or South Shields at South Northumbria Magistrates’ Court:

Connor Robbins, 21, of St Barnabas Way, Hendon, Sunderland, was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after he admitted causing harassment, alarm or distress on February 24.

Jason Jones, 47, of Houghton Road, Hetton, received a 20-week jail term, which was suspended for 24 months, after he admitted committing assault on August 31 last year.
