Hide AdRachel, a nail technician, from Sunderland, is asking for donations of cleaning products and toilet rolls – products which have been in short supply amid people stocking up on essentials.
Rachel said: “I’ve been hearing so many stories from clients of elderly people not being able to get the things we need because of people bulk buying.
“My mam works in the town centre, she told me that an elderly woman who doesn’t leave the house that often looked heartbroken because she couldn't get the things she needed. That really stuck with me.”
“I’d like to think that if my own grandparents were in the same situation, that someone would be willing to do the same as me. Even if I help just one person, then all of this will be worth it.”
