Investigation launched as youths spoken to during patrol of anti-social behaviour hotspots in Peterlee

During a Neigbourhood Police Team patrol in various anti-social behaviour hotspots throughout Peterlee town centre and the surrounding area, PCSOs discovered a group of youths suspected of causing ASB in and around the Oakerside Drive area.
PSCOs, who were on patrol on E-Bikes, spoke to and obtained details from the youths who will be spoken to again in the company of their parents as an investigation is launched.

Hide AdA Durham Constabulary spokesman said: “The team currently have two E-Bikes which are used on a regular basis to conduct patrols, with the added benefit that they can go where vehicles can't, at a much greater speed than on foot.“Your Neighbourhood team will continue to patrol identified ASB hotspots throughout the winter months, utilising our E-Bikes to pay particular attention to those areas which are hard to reach on foot.”
